TELEGRAMS

(Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, March 13. The members of the AVellington Fire Brigade have been furnished with a new undress uniform of blue serge, doublebreasted, and without a scrap of colour of any kind. The only feature that catches the eye is a double row of bright chromium-plated buttons and a neat badge in front of a serge peaked cap, which replaces the shining brass helmet. In these days of complicated electrical fittings it is not considered wise for the men to wear metal helmets, which may serve as a conductor. GREYMOUTH. March 15. The Blackball School has been dosed on account of an outbreak of measles.
