PERSIAN RAILWAY
NEW COVERED VANS ORDERS PLACED IN BRITAIN. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, December 13. (Received Dec., 14, at 5.5 p.m.) Several large orders for covered railway vans for the Persian railway have been secured by the British firm Metropolitan Cammell Carriage, Wagon, and Finance Company. In a leading article The Times pays a tribute to the. evolution of modern Persia under the vigorous leadership of the Shah from the previous state of dangerous, turbulent feudalism.
