THE RED SEAL

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —I think the request by the Returned Soldiers’ Association in this morning’s Daily Times to people to look for the “ red seal" on soldiers’ products should be qualified, for the reason that hundreds of returned soldiers are endeavouring to make a living at the present time, not only in set businesses,_ but by outside salesmanship. Are we to be forced to put a red seal on every packet of tea or every banana we sell? Had the Returned Soldiers’ Association’s announcement stated, as it should have done, that the only product of the Disabled Soldiers’ Committee was leather work, then, perhaps, the same exception could not bo taken to it. —I am, etc., * Digger, December 14.
