A STRANGE MONSTER

SIGHTED IN LOCH NESS STORY FROM SCOTLAND. ~ f (British . Official Wireless.) RUGBY, December 12. (Received Dec. 13, at 5.5 p.m.) A strange marine monster, alleged to have been sighted in Loch Ness, Scotland, during the last few months, has aroused much discussion in the British press. It was mentioned in the House of Commons when a member asked if, in the interest of science, an investigation could be made and whether the Government department could be invited to observe and photograph the strange creature. The Secretary for Scotland (Sir Godfrey Collins) would not agree that there was adequate reason to suspect the presence of “any baneful monster” in the loch. He thought that further researches could properly be left to private enterprise .and zealous press photographers. The alleged monster is described as 20 feet long, corresponding to no known species.
