SECRET . MEETING OF LEADERS GOVERNMENT TO BE DEFIED. LONDON, December 12. The Daily Mail’s Dublin correspondent says that a secret meeting of General O’Duffy’s United Ireland supporters in Dublin decided to defy the Government and to carry on the movement. They selected Mr Ernest Blythe (former vice-president) to succeed General O’Duffy in the event of his arrest. GENERAL O’DUFFY REAPPEARS. PRESIDES AT MEETING. LONDON, December 13. (Received Dec. 13, at 9.30 p.m.) General O’Duffy surprised his followers by presiding openly at an executive meeting of the United Ireland Party. tHc declared that he would' hold important conferences shortly but the programme was not announced in view of the attitude of the Governments of Ulster and the Free State towards free speech. He would remain in Dublin for the remainder of the week.
