GOOD TEMPLARY

There was a very large attendance of officers and members of the Silver Star Juvenile Temple last week, Sis. Susie Donaldson, C/i'., presiding with Sis. Mrs Rayner, superintendent, in charge. Sis. Gain, a representative of the adult lodge, Was present and introduced Mrs B’ack from Auckland, who addressed the members. The superintendent thanked her for her address. Final arrangements were made for the break-up, which is to take place on Wednesday evening. Sis. Mrs Rayner, superintendent, was welcomed back after her illness. A Vote condolence was passed to Sis. Mrs Wright and family on the death of Mr Wright. The following members contributed items: —Bro. Mervin Johnston (comic recitation), Bro. Eddie Rowe (recitation). Bro. Brooks, A.S.J.W., of the Rowe (duet), Sis. Joyce Knowles (recitation). Bro. Brooks, A.S.J.W., of the Star of the South, was present. The Hope of Caversham Lodge, No. 128, held its weekly meeting last week. C.T. Sis. Giles presided oyer a good attendance of members. Sis. Smith moved a motion of sympathy to be passed to Sis. Peates, Star of Freedom Lodge, and Sis.' Wright, Hope of Dunedin, in their recent sad bereavement. Reports were given on the Everhopeful and Star of Victory Temples. The programme for the evening was “ Questions and Answers ”on temperance and the lodge was in the hands of the L. deputy Sis. Paul.
