’ MONTHLY MEETING The monthly meeting of the Otago Land Board was commenced yesterday, and was attended by Messrs N.. C. Kensington (chairman). _ M. A. Kinney* . D. M'Lennan, G. Livingstone, and J. R. M'Culloch. ■ ' REAPPOINTMENT TO BOARD. The Under-secbetary of Lands, advised that Mr McLennan has been reappointed a member of the board. —Received. DISPOSAL OF LAND. The commissioner-submitted for further consideration the question of the disposal of section 4, block vl, Strath-Taieri S.D., area 22a lr 08p. The area was granted to F. G. Glover, section 4, block , VI. Strath-Taieri S.D., to be included in S.G.R. lease No. 1015 at an. increase of;.'£3 in the 'annual "rental, as from August 1, 1933. ERECTION, OF BUILDING. The commissioner submitted for consideration the application of Mrs M. J-, Cunningham, holder under ’education reserve lease of section 4, block LXXIV, town of Oamaru, for.permission to erect a shop on the land.—Approved. RESCISSION OF RESOLUTION. The commissioner submitted for consideration the question of the rescission of resolution in the case of W. M’Peake, holder Of miscellaneous licenses over, river reserve fronting sections 18/23; block VII, town of Kelso (6a 2r 07ph and over police reserve sections 1/10, block VIII, town of Kelso (2,a lr 28p). . . . . The resolution was rescinded. REDUCTION IN RENTAL. The commissioner submitted for consideration the application of R. M. Johnstone, holder of miscellaneous license over sections 24 and part 25, block XV, Sutton S.D. (78a 3r 21p) fox; reduction iu annual rent. The annual rental was reduced to £2 from. January 30, 1934, to be reviewed in two years’ time. cancellation; The commissioner submitted for- consideration the question of the cancellation of M.L. 2221,- held by. the Clutha County Council, over section 41, block I, Pomiihaka S.O. The license was cancelled as from April 11, 1933 r • DETERMINATION OF LICENSE. The commissioner submitted for consideration the question of determination of a miscellaneous license held by James Cunningham over old river bed and part of sandpit opposite town of Molyneux (325 a). —The license -was determined. In respect of section 4. block VII, North Molyneux S.D., held under year-to-year tenure under section 130 of the LandAct. 1908, W., Kelly, the lease was determined as from July 1. 1933. “THIRDS,” ETC. The following councils proposals for the expenditure of “ thirds,” etc., accrued for the period, ended October 31 last:—Tuapeka, £3B 10a 8d; Waikou-

aiti, £23 13s 9d: Clutha, £2l 6s sd; Vincent, £136 8s 4d; Waitaki, 9s 9d; Alexandra, 16s 6d; Lake, £l6 16s sd; Bruce, The proposals were approved, and the receiver was authorised to pay. REGISTRATION OF ASSIGNMENT. Run 584, Maniototo, 11,700 a—J. A. G. Rutherford to Jack Beattie.—-Registration approved. J Sections 23, 57, 58, 59, block •I, sections 28, -29, block VI, Akatore, 294 a William Edward Morgan to Joseph M. Mitchell.—Registration approved subject to rent being paid. RESCISSION OF CANCELLATION. The commissioner submitted , for reconsideration the case of S. Wright, licensee of section 13, block 11, town of Balclutha (lr). —A resolution cancelling E.R.2 as from October 31 was rescinded. APPLICATION FOR LAND. The commissioner submitted for further consideration an application by J. T. Young to have section 112, block I, Teviot S.D. (area la Or 26pp included in occupation lease No. 536. —Granted at an. increase of 10s In tlm annual rental as from September, 12; 1933. The commissioner submitted for con- . sideration tbe application of M. A. B. Woodhouse for a lease of sections 96, block VII, Leaning Rock S.D. (area 44a lr 2p), and 92, block VII, Leaning Rock S.D. (area 36a 3r 12p).—A renewable lease was granted at a capital value of £9O as from April 12, 1933. TERMINATION OP LICENSE. James Hailstone, holder of M.L. 2726 over foreshore allotment No. .11, Sling Point, Moeraki S.D.® (2r), applied tor termination of his license as at December 12. —The application was-granted. PERMISSION TO OCCUPY. The commissioner submitted for consideration the application of W. B. Hutchison for permission to occupy section50a, Tokarani settlement (6a 2r), at present in the name of George Hutchison.— M.L'.’s 900 in the name of George Hutchison were cancelled as from December 31, 1930, and a right to occupy granted to W. B. Hutchison as from January 1, 1931, at 13s per annum. J. M’Adie applied for permission to occupy section 18, block VII, town of Moeraki (2p), at present held in the name of Ji Findlay.—M.L. 2846 was cancelled, and permission was granted to J. M'Adie to occupy the area from year' to year at an annual rental of ss. A. E. Wilde applied for permission to occupy sections 92/94, block V, Waitahuna East S.D. (162 a approx.), at present held in the names of A. E. Wilde, A. Wightman, and C. Loeffler. —M.L. 970 was cancelled. and permission was granted to A. E. Wilde to occupy the area from year to year at a rent of £5 per annum. LAND FOR DISPOSAL. The commissioner submitted for consideration tile question of the disposal of section 8, block VIII, town of Waitaki Bridge (23a 2r Up).—The area was clas--sified as rural land, and it was decidedto offer the section for sale by public auction at upset price of £7O, weighted with valuation of improvements, £6 13s.

TRANSFER. Section 38, block IX, Strath-Taieri (95a Ir 14p)—Reginald F. Allen to Jessie M. Jones.^—Approved. APPLICATIONS FOR RENEWABLE LEASES. The commissioner submitted for consideration the application of E. W. Attfield, sen., and J. R. Hollows for a renewable lease of sections in the town of Clyde.—E. W. Attfield was granted a renewable lease of sections 3 and 8, block LI, and J. ,R. Hollows a renewable lease of sections 1,2, 9, 10, block LI, town of Clyde. , , ■ The commissioner submitted for consideration the application of -C. E. and J. S, Bennett, A. G. Leeden-and L. A. M'Bain for a renewable lease of sections Is and 2s, Clifton settlement.—The - application of Messrs C. E. and J. S. Bennett as tenants in common was granted.
