At the weekly meeting of the Silver Star Temple Sis. Phyllis Rackley, C.T., presided over a large attendance of members, and Sis. Mrs Rayncr, superintendent, was in charge. Five candidates were proposed for membership and initiated into the Order. Sis. Mrs Wright was given a hearty welcome back after her long absence owing to illness. The officers of the temple, with their superintendents, attended the Beacon Light Temple at Port Chalmers anniversary. The A.S.J.W. spoke a few words and gave the greetings of the temple. Bro. Brooks, A.S.J.W. of the Star of the South, paid a visit and was accorded a hearty wel* come. He responded and conveyed the greetings of his temple.
