Andrew Duff, who, it is thought, was driving the car, was :a'dmittcd. to Hospital in a semi-conscious, condition, and it was reported- by. %e Hospital .authorities' last evening -that there was practicaly no change ,in his/ condition. His injuries include a broken arm and cuts and general head injuries. Edna Helmkey, residing at the corner of, Sargood and Dumblane streets, was also admitted to Hospital suffering from head injuries. Her condition was reported to be considerably improved last evening. FARMER FOUND DROWNED The body of August Leitze, a wellknown farmer of Waipounamu, near Gore, was found in a lagoon. on the railway property at Waipounamu on Saturday morning. The deceased, who was about 66 years of age, belonged to a family which settled in the Gore district in the early days, and he had resided in the Eastern District practically -all his life. Although his habits had been somewhat eccentric of late, he was believed to have enjoyed good health. He was last seen about 4 o'clock on Friday afternoon when he had conversation with a local resident. His absence in the evening was not altogether unusual, but when a search was instituted on Saturday it was found that he had not slept in the house. :
