The second qualifying round of the Club Championships was played on Saturday, together with a Medal Match. The winner Was F. J. Laloli, with a net score of 65. The following are the scores:— F. J. FOOTBALL. .:'/ At Roxburgh, Coal Creek and Roxburgh played, the latter winning by 3 points to nil. Ettriek and Miller's Flat played at Ettrick, the former winning by 3 points to nil. • OBITUARY. The death of Mrs Charles Waigth, which occurred on Friday last, came as a great shock to the community. Mrs Waigth was born in Dunedin, and since she took up her residence in Roxburgh some 13 years ago made a host of friends by her genial and kindly nature. 1 . She was popular with everyone, and her death in the prime of life is regretted by nil. The funeral took place on Sunday, and was a very large one. ' Members of the Loyal Roxburgh Lodge, of Which Mr Waigth was a member, preceded the hearse through the town and again at the cemetery. The Rev. Father Scanlan officiated at the graveside..
