OTAGO RUGBY LEAGUE
MEETING OF EXECUTIVE A meeting of the Otago Rugby Football League Executive was held last night. Mr B. Crawford presided. The secretary was instructed to write to the Canterbury League and inquire if that centre intended to send a representative team to Dunedin during the present season, the Canterbury body to be advised that a suitable ground could be secured for a match against an Otago team. It was decided to advise the New Zealand Council, also the league’s delegate in Auckland, and the West Coast and Canterbury Leagues, that the Otago League was in favour of one selector from each of the South Island centres being appointed to select the South Island team, and that the final selection be left to the council. It was decided that the half-backs of all teams place tho ball in the scrums. It was also decided that the half-backs be instructed in regard to the right method of placing the ball in the scrums. SATURDAY’S MATCHES. The draw for Saturday is as follows: Athletic v. City. Chisholm Park, 2.45 p.m, (Mr B. Crawford); Pacific v. Christian Brothers, Oval, 2.45 p.m. (Mr B. Eckhoff).
