SOUTH ISLAND , CHAMPIONSHIPS.

The South Island dog trials championships were continued at Mossburn to-day, the competition being very keen. Some splendid runs were witnessed. Results: — Class 2 (Heading, Pulling, and Yarding).—L. H. Tilson’s Don, 142 J points, 1: J. I) Purdue’s Sweep, 138??-, 2; A. T. Miller’s Runt, 138 i, 3; W. E. Hazlett's Glen, 136 J. 4; A. T. Miller’s Dusky, 1331-. 5; L. Charleson’s Skip, 133, fi. It is expected that class three (huntaway and slew) will be completed tomorrow.
