LADIES’ GOLF UNION

FOURSOME TOURNAMENT. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, April 28. The most successful foursomes tournament that the New Zealand Ladies’ Golf Union has yet conducted was concluded at Heretaunga to-day, resulting in a victory for Misses Culling‘and Rathbone, of Auckland. They won the cups given by Mrs Guy Williams, of Masterton. • In the final the winners met Miss Cbrystall (Christchurch) and Barton (Wellington) and gained the day at the seventeenth hole after an exciting struggle. Results: — SEMI-FINALS. Misses Culling and Rathbone (rec. 2) beat Mrs D. Wilson and Mrs Foreman, 5 and 4. Misses Chrystall and Barton (playing level) beat Mrs Banks and Mrs Richmond, 5 and 3. FINAL. Misses Culling and Rathbone (owe 3) beat Misses Chrystall and Barton, 2 and 1.
