The New Zealand Shipping Company’s motor liner Rangltata was to leave Auckland yesterday for Tokomaru Bay, Napier, and Wellington to complete loading. ' She Is to sail finally from Wellington on May 12 for London, via Panama. ' WAIKAWA FROM PACIFIC COAST. The Union Company advises that the Walkawa arrived at Auckland from Pacific coast ports on Thursday evening. She was to leave the northern port yesterday for Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. The vessel Is due here on May 4, and, after discharging a quantity of cargo, will sail the same day for Melbourne and Sydney. WAIKOUAITI PROM SYDNEY’. The Union Company’s Intercolonial steamer Waikoualtl, from Sydney and Newcastle, via Bluff, arrived at Dunedin yesterday afternoon. After discharging general cargo and coal the vessel will sail on Monday for Timaru, Lyttelton, Bluff, and Sydney. She brought transhipments ex the following vessels:—Nienw Holland, Mooltan, Orama, Tanda, Cephee, Montreal Maru, Main, Moreton Bay, Oronsay, Atsuta Maru, Strathaird, and Nankin. ORARI FROM LIVERPOOL. The Orari arrived at Lyttelton on Thursday morning from Wellington to continue discharge of her Liverpool , cargo. She Is due at Dunedin this afternoon to unload part cargo. She will complete discharge at Bluff and will load at Bluff, Port Chalmers, Tlmaru, Wellington, New Plymouth, and Auckland. The Orari Is to sail from Auckland on May 18 for London, via Cape Horn. MAUNGANUI FROM SAI& FRANCISCO. The Maunganul, en route from San Francisco, via Papeete and Rarotonga, has reported by wireless that she expects to arrive at Wellington at 6 a.m. on Monday. She will sail at 3 p.m. on Tuesday for Sydney. MAKURA LEAVES PAPEETE. The Union Company's R.M.S. Makura, en route from Sydney and Wellington, via Rarotonga, left Papeete on April 24 for San Francisco, where she is due on May 5. ' NARBADA LEAVES SAMARANG. The Narbada left Samarang on April 24. She Is from Calcutta, Rangoon, and Singapore, and is due at Auckland on May 13. AORANGILEAVES VANCOUVER. The Union Company’s motor liner Aorangi left Vancouver on April 26 for Honolulu, Suva, Auckland, and' Sydney. She Is due at Auckland on May 15. On her arrival at Sydney on May 20 the Aorangi will pay off and lay up for overhaul and survey. CORNWALL LEAVES LONDON. Cable advice has been received that the Federal steamer Cornwall left London on April 24, In ballast, for Lyttelton, where she Is due about May 31 to commence Homeward loading. CUMBERLAND LEAVES PANAMA. The Cumberland, en route from London In ballast, left Caracas Bay on April 20 and Panama on April 23. She Is due at Opua about May 15. MANCHESTER SHIP CANAL. The approximate traffic receipts of the Manchester Ship Canal for January amounted to i 102,879, an Increase of £4184 over the figure | for the corresponding period of 1932. PERSONAL ITEMS. Captain J. W. Johnson, late of the Malmoa, is at present in command of the Taranaki. Captain C. Wood Is in command of the Them!stoclcs. Mr W. A. Morris has joined the Koranul at Sydney as second officer, relieving Mr A. V. Knight for further orders. Mr J. A. Pearson Is now chief officer of the Koranul, and he has relieved Mr L. G. Ramsay, who has transferred to the Talune in a similar capacity. Sir J. Dawson, of the latter vessel, has transferred to the Karepo as chief officer, relieving Mr H. L. P. She was berthed at the George street wharf. Port Chalmers, to discharge the remainder of her Home cargo and commence Homeward loading.
