TO THE EDITOR. Sir —Will the Tramway Department state definitely if there is anywhere on the cars where smoking is prohibited. On combination cars, a notice states, “Smoking on rear platform only. This seems to be of no avail, as smoking is indulged in on the front and also motormen's platforms. As a lover of fresh air and a non-smoker, I prefer to sit outside, and naturally do not like to be smoked out. — I am, etc., Fresh Air.
