FREE STATE FINANCES
RECEIPTS AND EXPENDITURE LONDON, April 1. (Received April 1, at 5.5 p.m.) The Free State revenue of £36,539,000 compares with £27,838,000 last year. It includes the land annuities, under' the Land Purchases Act, of £2,968,000 cornpared with nil last year. It also includes "exchequer deals," £4,500,000, compared with £1,000,000. The Customs receipts total £9,331,000, compared with £8,257,000 last year. The expenditure amounts to £36,916,000, compared with £27,939,000.
