(From Our Own Correspondent.) PALMERSTON, March 8. BOWLING. A very interesting bowling match wa< witnessed last night, when A. K. Downie (two lives) and J. Dennison (one, life) met as finalists, Dennison scoring 4 or the last head to. win the match by -V points to 23. As Downie had two lives, these two men will have to meet agait to decide the championship. . J. M. Baird and J. Adams (Palmerj ston). were defeated at Hampden las' night on a very keen preen by Woodlej and Sprague for the Galloway Cup. FISHING. The season has been a poor one foi fishing on the Shag River, as the rive! lias remained low and dirty.
