RECOGNITION OF SOVIET
AMERICAN ACTION PENDING NEW YORK, December 16. The United States’ recognition of Soviet Russia appears to be imminent. The President-elect, Mr Franklin Roosevelt, is known to be in favour of the step, and secretly has sent a confidential agent to Moscow to make a survey rtf the situation. He will probably launch preliminaries through a pro-Soviet adherent. ■
