The fifteenth century church of All Saints’ at Elton, Northamptonshire, has to be regularly watered to prevent it falling down. The church is built on a bed of clay which is shrinking, and in average dry weather the fire brigade from Elton estate gets out its hoses and pours water on to the foundations for 28 hours weekly. Cracks in the masonry indicate what would happen if this were not done. So long as its foundations are wet, the building is safe. There’s a scientific remedy for coughs and colds —“ NAZOL.” Disinfects the points of infection, the passages of the mouth, nose, and throat. Gives prompt relief. Sixty doses for Is Od, 120 doses for 2s 6d.—Advt.
J.D.K.Z. DRY Gin of course! This new product of the world’s most famous gin distillers—John De Kuyper and Son, is the correct Dry Gin for your “ Gin Sling,” “Gin and Ginger,” or your next mix oiF cocktails. A revelation in flavour and mellowness. Look for the distinctive Blue and Silver Label.
