OFFICERS’ MOUSTACHES
PARIS TAKES INTEREST PRINCE NOT AFFECTED. PARIS, December 3. “ Shall we now see our Prince of Wales adorned by the traditional moustaches of the British guards?” asks a Parisian gossip- writer, who adds, “ The Smiling clean-shaven face of the Prince of Wales is most familiar to French readers, who regard him as the personification of masculine chic.” Inquiry shows that the King’s request will not affect the Prince, who is an officer of Die Welsh Guards and not of the Life Guards. The King expressed a desire that officers of the Life Guards should wear moustaches.
