ROTARY CLUB

ANNUAL MEETING At the annual meeting of the Rotary Club of Dunedin, the following oflicebearere were elected for the ensuing year:—President, Mr V. S. Jacobs; vicepresident, Mr J. G. Dykes; directors— Messrs T. Somerville, J. Hogg, E. Syrett, and Magnus Johnson; treasurer, Mr H. H. Henderson; secretary, Mr W. K. Brown; auditor, Mr W. E. C. Reid. The ninth annual report, which was adopted by the meeting, stated that the active membership at the end of May was 62, compared with 70 at the end of the previous year. Luncheon meetings had been held throughout the year, and Interesting addresses had been given. These meetings had been attended by many visiting, rotarians. During the year two ladies' luncheons had been held, Professor A. Strong and Miss Joan Stevenson giving the addresses on those occasions. Other portions of the club’s activities dealt with in the report were forum meetings, church service, and provincial night. The reports of the various committees were also presented and adopted.
