MILTON NOTES Jl (From bus Own Correspondent.) . j MILTGN, June 9. CYCLE ROAD RACE. The weekly cycle road race organised by the Toko Harrier and Amateur Athletic Club was held on Saturday afternoon, the course being from Milton to Henley and return, approximately 34 miles. The race was won by A. Cleaver, with K. Wright second, the latter recording fastest time. FOOTBALL. Senior grade football in South Otago was “off” on Saturday afternoon, owing to several of 'the First Grade players taking part in the representative match between South Otago and Western Districts. The Second Grade competition having been completed, some of these teams arranged friendly matches, in one of which a drawn game resulted between Coast (Glenledi-Akatore) and Clutha, with 11 points each. At Milton a drawn game (3 points) resulted in a Third Grade match played between Crescent and Toko High School.
