MAINTENANCE ORDER REFUSED. After being married for <52 years an elderly couple figured In a matrimonial case at Bath. Mrs Lucy Anne Wyme, aged 82, obtained a maintenance order against her husband, Hugh Muir Wyme. aged 77, a travelling tailor. He offered 7s (id a week, but the Bench ordered 10s a week. Desertion was not denied. The husband submitted that his wife was better off than be was, and the point was raised whether an aged wife in'such circumstances, with money in the bank, ought not to be compelled to use it to buy an annuity for herself. Her solicitor, however, stated that he could not advise her to do that. The magistrate refused a separation order and intimated that the woman ought to do something regarding her money in the bank.
