REPORTED HOLD-UP POLICE MAKING INQUIRIES. (Pee United Peess Association.) INVERCARGILL, January 13, The inspector of police at Invercargill received word from Edendale late tonight that two masked men, one carrying a rifle, entered the premises of the Bank of New South Wales there tonight. It was stated that the manager and his wife were in the kitchen, howhich the intruders made their way. One is reported to have attacked tihewife of the manager, and the other is believed to have held up the manager with the rifle, but apparently without success. A detachment of police was sent from here immediately on receipt of the message. No further particulars ana available.
