OBITUARY

DR F. G. MACKELL (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, January 13. News has been received of the death in England of Dr F. G. Mackell, lecturer in zoology at Victoria University College, Wellington. He obtained leave to visit Europe last year fc the sake of gaining experience of laboratories abroad, and attending inspiration meetings of leading teachers of Britain and other countries at Freiburg, Germany. He had to enter a hospital for septicaemia, which had been diagonised in New Zealand. The lady he was to have married crossed to Germany, and under her charge he was removed to England. His mother went to England, and was with him at death. Dr Mackell was a son of Dr F. G. Mackell/ of Auckland
