LAWN TENNIS

NEW SOUTH WALES LADIES’ TEAM. One of the most important lawn tennis events of-the year will be the visit to Dunedin of the New South Wales ladies’ team to-morrow and on Saturday. They wul play matches against the best Otago players to-morrow —namely. Misses Partridge, Pattison, Calver, and White. ; On Saturday, exhibition matches will be played and interest will be added to these by reason of the fact that the Otago Association has secured the services of two of the leading women players in the Dominion—Miss M. Wake (Canterbury) and Mrs W. A. Scott (Timaru). Both these ladies are well-known in Dunedin, Miss “Wake having taken part in several interprovincial matches and tournaments in Dunedin, while Mrs Scott (nee Miss J.
