CHIROPRACTORS’ ASSOCIATION
The twelfth annual conference of the New Zealand and Australian Chiropractors’ Association was held at Christchurch when a representative attendance of delegates from Whangarei, Auckland, Hamilton, Palmerston North, Hawera, Wellington, Nelson, Christchurch, Timaru, Oamaru, Dunedin, and Gore was present. Mr J. A. Scott (president) occupied the chair. The report indicated that membership and finances were in a healthy and flourishing condition, and that the defence fund showed a credit balance of £357 14s Bd. Mention was made of the fact that in spite of the severe setback and loss suffered by the Napier and Hastings chiropractors in the tragic earthquake disaster all were courageously and successfully carrying on. A lengthy and exceptionally interesting order paper —including an important discussion on the value of modern nervetesting instruments —was dealth with, and by common consent the conference was voted (he most successful yet held by the association.
Officers were elected as follows: President and secretary Mr J. A. Scott; vice-president,'Mr J. P. Colwill; treasurer and assistant secretary, Mr J. M. Craig; committee —Miss K. Barr, Messrs T. Giles, R. V. Lorenzcn, A. R. Mackay, and W. C. Lawson. The following were appointed a Chiropractic Defence Committee for the year: —Messrs J. A. Scott, J. P. Colwill, J. M. Craig, T. Giles, and T. G. Kinney. It was decided that the next conference should be held in'Wellington.
