He asked women factory employees to note daily on a special form how they felt, and whether they had headaches. Comparing these reports with records of the daily work each performed, the doctor found that many girls did most work on the days they had headaches. That they concentrated on their work in order to forget their aches was the explanation offered. For One Month Only, SIMPLEX SPECIAL 2/6 DOWN 2/6 for 83 weeks. CALDER MACKAY 180 Rattray St., Dunedin. In fairy stories the princess often tabes refuge in a charcoal burner’s hut. Charcoal burners are fairly numerous in France and Germany, where special charcoal stoves are used in houses, but it is not generally known that they exist in Britain, too. Those now plying the trade belong to families which have handed it on from father to son for probably more than 1000 years. Long before William the Conqueror came iron was smelted in Sussex, and charcoal was always used for the purpose. The demand to-day is small, and is decreasing, but charcoal is required for the production of some of the finest grades of metal, and charcoal burners still make a living. To make good charcoal the greatest heat with the least draught is needed. *0 yu Children Love Marshall’s Summer Drink Extract It’s so c 001... so delicious ... so thirst-quenching.
