OPPOSITION IN LIVERPOOL DEARER BREAD FEARED. LONDON, December 29. The Liverpool Chamber of Commerce passed a resolution opposing wheat quotas on the ground that they would seriously interfere with the freedom of marketing and the free selection of the world’s wheat for British milling. One authority contends that the quota would result in dearer bread. The uncertainty regarding the dominions’ quota is seriously affecting trade in the futures market. It is experiencing the smallest trade for 40 years.
