REFORM CANDIDATES FOR AUCKLAND SEATS (Special to Daily Times.) AUCKLAND, August 8. Mr R. 11. Marryatt. of Gratia, has been selected as the official Reform candidate to contest Auckland Suburbs seat at the general election. The election was made at a conference of delegates appointed by the Reform Party supporters in all parts of the electorate. Mr H. G. R. Mason (Labour) holds the seat at present. Mr Marryatt was born in Dunedin, and prior to the war was engaged in commercial pursuits in various parts of New Zealand. He was an active member of the Territorial Force. He joined the Imperial forces during the war, and rose to the rank of colonel. On his return he engaged in farming at Gratia. THE EDEN ELECTORATE. (Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND. August 9. Mr R. Glover-Clark has been selected as the Reform candidate for Eden to oppoe the Minister of Health (Mr A. J. Stallworthy). AUCKLAND EAST. An invitation to submit his name as the Reform candidate for Auckland East was made to Sir George Richardson on Wednesday by an enthusiastic and representative deputation of Reform supporters. In reply. Sir George expressed his appreciation of the honour it was sought to do him by asking him to accept nomination. Although he could not give a reply at that iuncture, he thought the deputation might take a hopeful view.
