The directors of the Ham-burg-South America Line will, accordingly, bring before the general meeting two propositions: — (1) A modlAcation of the articles to permit that a fourth of the members of the board may be resident in Bremen, and (2) that two representatives of the HamburgAmerika Line and two representatives of the Norddeutscher Lloyd, shall become members of the board. The agreement brings to a deAnlte close the era of great Internal struggles In the' German shipping world, and it can now be said that the whole , German shipping Industry Is consolidated Into one bloc. The absorption of minor shipping companies is now only a question of time and opportunity.
