ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL

MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETS The weekly meeting of the Management Committee of the Otago Football Association was held ip the Y.M.C.A. last evening, the chairman being Mr J. Simpson. The Technical Club advised that the referee appointed for its fixture with Port Chalmers on Saturday had failed to attend and that Mr W. Hanlin had officiated, the result being 2 goals to 1 in favour of Technical.—-Received, the result of the match to stand ; An application was received from the Maori Hill Club for the transfer of J. M'Pherson from Ravensbourne to Maori Hill Second Grade. It was stated that the player in question had not played this season, and the application was referred to the Transfer Committee. \ The Southland Football Association inquired whether the suggested game at Dunedin would be a representative fixture, and also for the terms. -It was rpsolved to invito the Southland team tor August 1, the match to be a representative fixture, on similar terms to last year s gam6 ‘ F.A. TROPHY. Advice was received from the New Zealand Council that the date of the Otago trophy fixture with Wellington had been fixed for August 1. —The date was accepted and the selectors submitted the following list of players to commence training;—M'Dougall, Anderson, Cope, Coates, Perry, Brown, Chapman, Porter. Duncan, Latimer, C. Ives, Groves (High School Old Boys), Moore, Woods, Gome, M’Hugh, Hooper. The first training night was set down for to-morrow at the Northern pavilion at 7.30 p.m., Mr W. Fullarton to be asked to act as coach. SATURDAY’S DRAW.
