CONDITIONS IN THE NORTH. (Special to Daily Times.) AUCKLAND,. July 13. Wet weather prevailed to-day, continuous heavy rain falling during the afternoon. It has ceased this evening, but the conditions are threatening and a moderate breeze is blowing from the north. The barometer, which has been falling since midnight, registers 29.70 in. WELLINGTON, July 13. The early morning was overcast and rain commenced to fall about 10 o’clock, frequent showers continuing throughout the day. The night is wet. The wind is from the north.

CHRISTCHURCH, July 13. The weather to-day was bright in the morning following 11 degrees of frost, but overcast in the afternoon. The wind turned from the north-west to north-east. The maximum temperature was 44 degrees. The barometer is falling, the reading being 29.50.
