The Union Steam Ship Company announces a specially reduced fare for the round tour from Auckland to Fiji, Tonga, Samoa, Fiji, and back to Auckland, a trip occupying three weeks. There are many people in New Zealand who have not seen the tropics and to whom this journey, which Includes some of the most fascinating volcanic and coral Islands of the Pacific, will come as a revelation or beauty. The natives, too, are charming, and an interesting feature is the difference of Government —Fiji under the British Colonial Office Tonga (where three different calls are made) as a separate Llliputian kingdom, and Samoa, over which New Zealand had a mandate from the League of Nations. Other more hardened travellers can. with advantage, take this opportunity of shaking off their cares and troubles for a nice spell away from the winter at a minimum cost, as the passenger lives aboardjor the whole trip, and consequently has only small incidental expenses. The reduced fare will apply during the next four months.
