A gruesome find was made by a tenant of a newly-acquired property, at Glen Innes. An employee states that another Italian thrust a revolver through Laspina’s bedroom window, demanuc-u money, and almost immediately fired. ' " “ BOY STABBED TO DEATH. COMPANION ARRESTED. SYDNEY, January 26. (Received Jan. 27, at 2 a.m.) During an altercation between two boys at Moore Park, Thomas Goode, aged 16, was stabbed over the heart by a companion, aged 13, and he died. ihe younger boy was arrested. GRAND STAND COLLAPSES. SYDNEY, January 26. (Received Jan. 27, at 2 a.m.) A large number of people who were seated on an improvised grand stand, at Freshwater, near Manly, were watching the Surfqrs' Carnival to-day, when the structure collapsed and five were taken to hospital, while many of the others are suffering from shock and minor injuries. JOCKEYS INJURED. SYDNEY, January 26. (Received Jan. 27, at 2 a.m.) Two jockeys, R. Colvin and A. Stewart, were thrown during the races at Newcastle to-day, and suffered fractured skulls. Their condition is critical.
