A well-known farmer and horse breeder of the Milton and Lovell’s Flat districts — Mr John Robinson —had the misfortune to lose the whole of his furniture and personal effects by fire in the early hours of last Saturday morning at his residence at Woodlands. The fire was discovered about 3 a.m., having apparently originated in the kitchen, and, fanned by a strong wind, the five-roomed dwelling was quickly reduced to ashes. It was impossible _to save anything. Mr Robinson was living alone in the house, the remaining members of the family being absent on holiday. Mr Robinson’s furniture was insured, but it is not known whether the dwelling (owned by Messrs M'Kendry Bros.) was covered. 1
