In the House of Commons Sir Philip Sassoon gave notice of motion of adjournment on England’s non-participa-tiou in the Schneider Cup. The Speaker refused to accept the motion. AERO CLUB’S OFFER. LONDON, January 21. (Received Jan. 22, at 10 pan.) Sir Philip Sassoon disclosed that the Aero Club offered to raise the £BO,OOO necessary to defend the trophy, conditionally on the Government lending machines and pilots. Unless the refusal to participate was withdrawn within a day or two it would be too late to enter and the contest would not be held in Britain.
