Mr Bullock performing the ceremony. The church was artistically decorated for the occasion by girl friends of the bride, the bride, who was escorted by her father, to the strains of the Bridal March wore a dainty French gown of silk fish net cut on long, classical lines. Her veil, which fell to form a train, was arran«ed in a mob cap stylo, and was held in place by clusters of orange blossom. She carried a bouquet of cream roses and sweet peas. Ihe train was carried by a small flower girl, Shirley Bailes, of Christchurch who was dressed in a long frilled frock of cream georgette, and a Victorian lace bonnet tied with gold ribbons. The bride's mother, whao received the guests, wore a navy and fawn marocain ensemble, with hat to tone. She carried a bouquet of deep red roses. During the breakfast many congratulary telegrams were read and various items interspersed between the toasts.. Regret was voiced that the bridegroom s parents were unable to be present. When the bride and bridegroom left on their wedding tour of the South Island, the bride wore a frock of navy marocain trimmed with fawn georgette, a navy hat, and a fawn tweed coat. The" bride's gift to the bridegroom was a gold wristlet watch, and the bridegroom's gift to the bride was a diamond dress ring. The flower girl received a silver purse. The cnapel had been charmingly decorated for the occasion by; the birdesmaids and triends of the bride and bridegroom with ivy and wheat, pink and blue lupins, white mi s, i blossom, and satin bows. The brides gown was of ivory duchess satin, made oil classic lines, with fitting bodice and wide flared skirt of ankle, length, a long satin bow reaching from the neckline to _ the hem of the skirt at the back, and tight sleeves finishing in a point over the hand, trimmed with small satin buttons reaching to the elbow. She wore a striking coronet of orange blossoms standing well back on the head, and a beautifully hand-embroidered Brussels veil which fell to form a long train. White satin court shoes, finished with small bows and a spring or orange blossom and hose to tone completed a very exquisite bridal eaSel nb!c. She carried a shower bouquet or white and pale pink rosea and carnations, . masked fay maidenhair fern, which wag tied With white satin ribbons. She intended by Miss Alice Btook, of Auckland, Sister of the bridegroom, as chief bridesmaid, and NgUira Wilson, of Dunedin. Their frocks were of delicate shades of pnk and blue respeotvely, and each was fashioned in .earlyVictorian style. The yoke, hem, and puffed sleeves Were of georgette, the short, rucked bodices and very full flared skirts of taffeta, with wide puffed bows of taffeta at the back. Their lints were of crinoline straw, open at the back, with taffeta bows, and calight Up in front with’ small posies to tone. Their court shoes were of the same shade, and very pretty toilettes were completed with lacc mittens and i hOso to match. Each carried an early-Victorian posy of dephiniums and . roses to tone with her frock. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr Colin Brook, of Auckland, as best man, and Dr John W. Horsley, of Auckland, as groomsman. Messrs lan Borrie and M. 0. Martin, both of Oatttaru, Were the ushers. It was noteworthy that the bridegroom, his attendants, and the ushers were all: formerly in residence at Knox College. “ Following the religious ceremony, the bridal party and the guests adjourned to the Gardens Tea Kiosk, where the guests were received by Mr and Mrs H. B. Legge, Mrs Legge carrying a beautiful bouquet of red roses and maidenhair fern, and wearing an. ensemble of black lace and georgette, and a black Susan straw hat, with trimmings of black tulle and flowers caught flatly above and below the brim on one side. The usual toasts Were duly honoured, a large number of Congratulatory cablegrams and telegrams were received and read, and the happy couple received a fitting send-off from the many guests present; The bride travelled in a navy blue georgette and lace frock, navy face cloth coat, handsomely trimmed with a roll collar and cuffs of black baby ■ bear fur, small tight-fitting stitched taffeta hat, and bag, gloves, and shoes to match. Tho guests present included Mr. and Mrs J. W. Wilson, Mr and Mrs A* Beadle, Mr and Mrs D. H. Laurence, Mr and' Mrs J. M'Farlane, Mr and Mrs T, H. Hendra (Oamaru). Mr and Mrs'A. Glue, Mrs and Miss L. Fraser, Mrs H Chisholm. (Christchurch), Mrs Todd (Invercargill) , Mrs H. Dixon, Mrs and Miss J> Begg, Misses A. and 12. Miller, Mi's Mernngton, Mrs J. E. Bain and Miss B. and Master Kenneth Bain. Mrs Q. Wilson, Miss C. Browne, Mrs H. C. Thompson, and Miss N, Thompson. Misses 0. and D. Manhire, E. and K. Payne, K. Debenham, T, Wilson, H. Laurence, mid R, Allen, Messrs H. W.
