ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
CHEMIST’S SUDDEN DEATH. (Per United Piess Association.) WANGANUI, December 18. Ronald Davidson, aged 42, a chemist, unemployed, and living ■in Wanganni East, died suddenly this morning. It is thought to be a case of suicide. TAXI DRIVER INJURED. (Per United Press Association.) HAMILTON, December 18. A taxi driver, J. E. Mair, was admitted to the hospital in a serious condition ae a result of his taxi colliding with a power pole at Morrinsville yesterday. The taxi had collided with a lorry at an intersection before crashing into the pole. DEATH FROM INJURIES.' (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, December 18. An inquest was held to-day concerning the death of Arthur John Dennis, who died in the Wellington Hospital on November 26 after being severely burned when a motor car overturned and caught fire near Waikanae. A formal verdict was given that deceased died as the result of a motor accident. ' BODY FOUND IN CREEK. (Per United Press Association.) BLENHEIM, December 18. The body of Mrs Esther Wright, who had been missing from the Lister Hospital since last night at 7 o’clock, was found in a creek running into the Omaka River this afternoon. The missing woman had been an inmate of the hospital for a considerable period. Mrs Wright went for her customary walk last evening and was not seen alive again. The police and friends searched all night and to-day. MOTOR CYCLIST INJURED. A young man, Ernest Welch, residing at Outram, was admitted to the Hospital yesterday afternoon, suffering-from a compound fracture of the right leg. He was riding a motor cycle near the township when ho collided with a motor car.
