HIGH TARIFFS
MR STANLEY BALDWIN'S VIEWS. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON, December 17. Addressing a meeting of Conservarives, Mr Stanley Baldwin declared: It is my firm conviction that the moment Britain joins all the other industrial countries which have their own tariffs, the moment the world _ sees us negotiating with the dominions for Imperial economic umty Europe and the United States will doubt whether high tariffs are going ultimately .to benefit the world. I am' not the least alarmed at the Liberal-Labour pact.”
