PIGEON FLYING.

The Dunedin Homing Pigeon Club flew a second flock race from Wellington on December 6, an airline distance of 303 miles to central lofts. Sixty birds, representing 15 lofts, were liberated at 5.15 a.m. Flying conditions were not so good as for the first race, only three birds timing in on the Saturday. The others timed in early next morning. Eight places were allocated for Wellington races, and were filled as follows; — J. Still’s Kia Ora (880.9) 1; A. Stevenson’s Osraonda (815.1) 2; G. Coutts’s Playtime (813.7) 3; G. Coutts’s Lady Lydia (586,3) 4; A. Stevenson’s San Toss (577.3) 5; C. Gore’s No. 536 (575.0) 6; J. Havclgrave’s Alto (568.9) 7; W. Hargreaves Night March (562.7) 8.
