The whole carnival had been run without friction and entirely harmoniously, and was an example of the team work for which Dunedin was noted. Mr P. R. Sargood, in moving the adoption of the statement of receipts and expenditure, congratulated all concerned on the success of the effort. He personally had thoroughly enjoyed the fortnight s work as chairman of the Finance Committe, and he stated that the exhibition was evidence of the fact that when Duaedl " d l d an l thin g.it did it well. Mr w. G. Kindley, in seconding the motion, referred to the wonderful spirit shown by all the voluntary workers, and expressed his gratification at the loyal way m which the members of the Manufacturers* Association had come forward, and in such a short space of time had staged an exhibition which was worthy of being classed alongside the local industries court of the big New Zealand and South Seas Exhibition. He felt proud to have been associated with a venture which had begun and finished with such a swing, The motion was-carried unanimously. On the motion of Mr T. Somerville, a hearty vote of thanks was accorded to Mr Hogg; to whose energy and enthusiasm the success of the exhibition was largely due. Mr Hogg thanked tne members for their loyal support, which, he said, had made his task an easy one, and he concluded by wishing all present the compliments of the season.
