General Hcrtzog, in J a ■ statement in Pretoria, urges the Boy Scbut organisation to discontinue the use of the Union Jack as the flag of the organisation and to adopt the Union national flag, otherwise there cannot 'be co-operation by Afrikander-speaking boys under the flag of another country. ■ , Regarding the Boy Scout oath, he suggests that English boys should retain “ God and .King,” while the Afrikanders should adopt “ God and Country.”' He urges the resumption of negotiations on that basis. - ■
