MR OSCAR GARDEN.
TOUR OP NORTH ISLAND. (Per United Press Association.) nr HAMILTON, December 17. _Mr Oscar Garden, airman, arrived at Hamilton from Auckland this afternoon and was tendered a civic reception. He was met at the aerodrome by representatives of the aero club and the member for the district (Mr J. A. Young). Captain Garden and Captain Haig left by plane far Eotorua this afternoon. WELCOMED AT ROTORUA. (Per United Press Association.) ROTORUA, December 17. Mr Oscar Garden, with Captain Hewett and Captain Haig, arrived at Rotoma by aeroplane at 3.35, after a somewhat stormy passage from Hamilton. The visitors were met by the Rotorua Airways plane, and a larmj crowd gathered at the aerodrome to welcome them. All the machine's made" a perfect landing in the teeth of a strong wind. The party was met by the Mayor (Mr T. Jackson) and the president of the Rotorua Airways (Mr J. D. Davis) and escorted to the Grand Hotel, A civic reception followed, and later a banquet was given nt the Grand Hotel by the Rotorua Aero Chib in honour of Dir Garden.
