MUSICAL RECITAL.
Miss Muriel Engar will hold her annual recital in the Town Hall Concert Chamber on Wednesday, December 10, when n programme of variety and charm will take a prominent part, and an item of special interest will be the performance of “ Little Red Riding Hood ” by Gladys Cumberland. The children’s choir, carefully trained, will render Spring Song (Rubinstein), “ Over the Dancing Waves” (Verdi), “Chime Again, Beautiful Bells” (with bell effects), and the old English carol 11 Good King Wenceslas.” Elocutionary items, action songs, and ducts in character, and percussion band will combine to make a varied and interesting programme. A fairy, operetta, “ The Sleeping Beauty,” presented in costume, will bo an added attraction. Miss Engar will sing for the first time in Dunedin Proch’s celebrated " Air and Variations,” with flute obbligato.
