POPPTLAND FAIR. t The Poppylimd Christmas Fair held in the Mornington Methodist hew Sunday School hall was brought to a successful conclusion on Thursday night. Stallholders experienced a busy time and disposed of the greater part of their wares. Before a large and appreciative audience the. following children’s programme was rendered:—Action song, “The Milliner”; recitation, Laura Shrimpton; violin solo, Harray Richards; rhythmic dance, Isa Webster and Evelyn Williamson; action song, “ Nursery Rhymes.” Mrs A. V C. Gibson was heartily thanked for. her services in training the children and playing the accompaniments. The following were the prize-winners in the cookery, sweets, and needlework competitions:— Cookery (adults).—Girdle scones—Mrs Harris 1, Mrs Curry 2; pikelets—Mrs Curry 1, Mrs Harris 2; sponge sandwich —Mrs Russell 1, Mrs Davis 2; oven scones—Mrs Peake 1, Mrs R. Lamb 2; nut loaf—Mrs Peake I, Myra Collier 2; shortbread—Mrs Webster 1, Mrs Hutton 2; puff pastry—Mrs Richards 1, Mrs Hutton 2.
