Miss Amy Johnson, who is flying to Australia, has arrived here. ; Tile first woman to gain an Air Ministry ground engineer’s license was a 20-ycar-old girl, Miss Amy Johnson, said a London paper recently. She is a member of the London Aerodrome Club, and' comes of a wealthy Midlands family. ..She is quite independent, however," for she makes a comfortable living by her skill with aircraft and engines. The possession of the engineer’s license means that Miss Johnson is now a fully-qualified pilot and can pass, out her own machines as being airworthy without consulting anyone else. - '• DELAY AT CONSTANTINOPLE. ‘ LEAKAGE IN PETROL TANK.
