CHAMBER OF HORRORS.

“ Direction of Cabinet of Figures of Was, London, England.” This wae the address on a letter sent from Germany. The Post Office —on its mettle after recent blunders and losses—promptly sent it to No. 10. Downing street, Mr Eamsay MacDonald’s secretary opened’ it, and—perhaps resenting the “Figures of Was” insinuation—sent it to Madame Tussaud's with this note: “The enclosed letter was delivered at 10 Downing street, and opened with the Prime Minister’s post. 1 think, however, it must be intended for yon.” A newspaper representative was told at Madame Tiissriud’s that the letter was one of thousands received from all parts of the world, asking if it were true that a reward would- be paid for spending a night in the Chamber of Horrors. There is no such reward, and never has been.
