UNEMPLOYMENT.
- \ COMMITTEE OF,INVESTIGATION. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, August 31. .The Minister of Labour (Mr W. A. Veitch) announces that the committee appointed by the Government to investigate the conditions of unemployment and make recommendations bas now so far completed its work as to be able to present to him the first section of its report. The committee will continue its investigations and present further sectional reports as it finds itself in a position to do so. The first report is on general lines, and contains ouly fvvo definite recommendations, rurthor reports will all be in the nature of recommendations upon remedies to meet the various aspects of the problem.
