TRAGEDY IN ALGIERS
COLLAPSE OF A TENEMENT/ SERIOUS LOSS OF LIFE. (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.'! LONDON, August 30. A four-storeyed tenement in Algiers, inhabited by 25 Italian labourers and their families, fell in a heap, burying some 120 persons. Firemen, troops, and volunteers quickly began a rescue and brought out ten dead and 45 seriously injured. There is little hope that many of the others will be alive when the debris is cleared.—Australian Press Association. SIXTY-THREE BODIES RECOVERED. LONDON, August 30.
